This single was written and recorded in 1977 by American pop-music singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. It is named for the cocktail Margarita that Buffett discovered at a bar in Austin Texas. Its lyrics reflect a laid-back lifestyle in a tropical climate to reflect the first huge surge of tourists who descended on Key West , FL around that time. Buffett finished up the song while in Key West. “Margaritaville" remains his highest charting solo single which had to define Buffett's music and career. The tune was inducted into the 2016 Grammy Hall of Fame” for its cultural and historic significance.
A heavy 8” wire wreath form is fully wrapped in gold mesh ribbon, then wrapped in a shimmery vintage style grasshopper green tinsel garland. Next the mint quality original vinyl 45 rpm is affixed to the rear of the wreath ready for embellishments! The focal point is of course a colossal Margarita glass ornament. Dancing around the wreath are various elements reflecting the famous lyrics, too many to describe! Can you find the lost salt shaker?? Glass glittered balls, vintage mercury ornaments, beads,blown glass orbs, embellished palm tree and flamingo. Shipped in lovely gift box.
Can be hung on a wall with the enclosed disposable velcro strips or with an 8” plate hanger. I prefer it displayed on a tabletop easel as depicted in the photograph.
